P27 is a new Nordic payment infrastructure that is being introduced. It is described as the industry's biggest change in 50 years, replacing Sweden's existing payment infrastructure, made up of components from different eras, with a shared, modern platform for payments across the Nordic countries.

P27 is owned by Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, OP Financial Group, SEB and Swedbank. The name P27 refers to the solution improving payments for the 27 million inhabitants of the Nordic countries. P27 establishes a Nordic standard based on the globally used ISO 20022 format. 

The transition to the P27 payment infrastructure involves a number of changes.
