For the fifteenth consecutive year, business newspaper Dagens Industri has compiled the Gasell survey of Sweden's fastest-growing and most profitable companies. A Gasell company meets a number of strict criteria. The company's four most recent annual reports always form the basis of the Gasell survey.

A Gasell company has:

– turnover of at least SEK 10 million in the most recent financial year
– at least ten employees
– at least doubled its turnover between the first and most recent financial years
– at least doubled its turnover during the same period and increased it every year
– a positive combined operating profit over the four financial years
– grown organically, not through acquisitions or mergers
– sound finances
