Systemstöd supports UNICEF's emergency relief work
Instead of Christmas cards and gifts, we support children in conflict areas by contributing to UNICEF's emergency relief work.
When UNICEF was founded in 1946, the intention was to provide short-term assistance to children affected by the Second World War.
But it soon became clear that UNICEF had an even greater role to play.
Today, UNICEF works in 190 countries for the rights of every child.
The problems faced by vulnerable children are often interconnected.
A hungry child is more likely to become ill. A sick child does not have the strength to go to school.
A child who does not attend school is more vulnerable to violence and exploitation.
UNICEF therefore takes a broad, long-term approach to all children's problems and rights at every level of society.
