Growing interest in third-party logistics
The use of 3PL has grown strongly in recent years and become an important part of logistics. Different terms are used, such as 3PL, third-party logistics or TPL, but the meaning is the same: an item or goods owner outsources all or part of its logistics to a third party that handles and coordinates all goods distribution. A company can therefore use a third-party logistics provider to outsource all or part of its logistics, resulting in greater focus on its core business.
