Jeeves API enables automatic, secure integration between different e-commerce platforms and Jeeves ERP. The solution updates customer orders, inventory information and item information, among other things, for efficient, seamless e-commerce. Jeeves API provides integration that increases business value, avoids duplicated work and, above all, offers a secure solution because the same information is available in both Jeeves ERP and your online shop.
Product information with Jeeves API
If your online shop is not integrated with Jeeves ERP, you must maintain all product and item information manually in both Jeeves ERP and your e-commerce platform. With Jeeves API, all item maintenance takes place in Jeeves ERP.
Before launching your online shop alongside Jeeves ERP, a useful tip is to “clean” and quality-check the item information to be published. Reviewing all items to be published and displayed in your e-commerce is not just about correct price and discount management. Check that products have the right names (those customers use) and are classified into item groups, product groups, etc. Correct, up-to-date product master data in Jeeves ERP is important for quickly launching an online shop integrated with Jeeves ERP.
Product images
Product images are important in e-commerce for attracting visitors, making searches easier and more accurate and, not least, winning customer orders. Visitors may not remember a product's name, only what the product or its logo looks like. If your supplier does not have suitable images, hire a photographer for good product photos. Images should not merely fit in and look good. Remember to SEO-optimise every image in your e-commerce, considering, for example:

– The right file type
– Reduce image sizes so they load quickly in your online shop
– Provide “alt text” for every image
Categorise products for more effective searching
Products displayed and sold in your e-commerce need to be categorised to make searching easier for visitors and expand your opportunities for additional sales. If you do not already do this in Jeeves ERP, use some form of item categorisation for your online shop's products. This makes it easier to create good search options and criteria. Additional sales can also increase when visitors and customers see other products in the same category, products and services that complement the current product, or other products from the same supplier.
Pricing models in e-commerce
Jeeves API integrates the price and discount model you use in Jeeves ERP with your online shop, among other things. Before launching your e-commerce, it is important to review and “clean” the price lists, discount terms and price agreements you have with different customers and customer categories.
Prices and stock status in your e-commerce
A common question in e-commerce projects is whether and how prices and stock status should be presented in the online shop. This is handled differently depending on whether the shop serves businesses (B2B), consumers (B2C) or both. The advantage of Jeeves API integration is that rules for prices, discounts, volume discounts, etc. are managed from Jeeves ERP. Common solutions show customer-specific prices after login and do not display detailed item stock levels. Instead, they use general terms such as “few remaining”, “out of stock” and/or colour symbols indicating stock levels.
