Inventory management: the easiest way to save money
Inventory management and picking are the two areas in organizations where more efficient processes make it easiest to save money.
That is the view of managers at companies that recently reviewed their workflows, according to an Intermec survey.

Instead of Christmas cards and gifts
Instead of Christmas cards and gifts, Systemstöd supports WaterAid. The organization works to transform the lives of the world's poorest and most marginalized people by improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Are you ready for GDPR?
On May 25 next year, the EU's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes effect, introducing stricter requirements for handling personal data. On the Systemstöd blog, we have written about what is GDPR? and at Systemstöd's open house in September, our partner Rg19 gave a presentation on GDPR. The Srf konsulterna website offers a digital self-assessment to help you understand how you currently handle personal data.

As Christmas Eve approaches, perhaps it is time for some reading suggestions and books about ERP systems?
Here is a selection of Swedish books available from Adlibris or Bokus.

A review of the year
Fredrik Jansson, Aktiebolaget Systemstöd
During the year, we grew in knowledge, experience, and new colleagues. Particularly pleasing is that several employees joined our Jönköping office, with more starting in 2018. This further strengthens our Jeeves resources in Småland and the surrounding area.
In the blog post Is the age pyramid becoming a problem in the ERP industry? Bertil Ågren at HerbertNathan & Co describes a clear trend: the average age of ERP consultants is rising. Systemstöd's contribution to rejuvenating the profession is to launch a trainee program in 2018 for students who want to become ERP consultants.
At the end of March, we were named one of Sweden's Best Workplaces 2017 for the third consecutive year by Great Place To Work®. We continue our collaboration with Great Place To Work® and developing Systemstöd in line with our vision of Sweden's Best Workplace. Success requires participation and commitment, which I discuss further in this short interview >
Almost two years ago, we began introducing a new ERP system to the Swedish market, Sage X3. Sage X3 is now adapted to Swedish legislation and translated into Swedish. The first customers are live, and several installations are planned for early next year. It is especially rewarding when the media covers the work, such as PLM & ERP News here >
Finally, I would like to thank you for our collaboration this year and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Best regards

New customers and projects
