Systemstöd delivers e-commerce to Bonnier
Several logistics companies within Bonnier have signed an agreement with Systemstöd for the delivery of a new e-commerce platform, including e-commerce applications and business support and functions for third-party logistics.
The first delivery is to the Finnish company Porvoon Kirjakeskus Oy which provides and manages various logistics services for consignment sales and distribution for book publishers in the Finnish market.
E-commerce and support for 3PL
The delivery includes e-commerce and functions enabling the consignment agents' sales representatives to place end-customer orders for their own product ranges at Porvoon Kirjakeskus Oy. It also includes functions allowing logistics customers to request distribution of their goods and register orders for incoming deliveries to Porvoon Kirjakeskus' warehouse. The solution goes live in December 2016.
E-commerce platform integrated with Jeeves
The e-commerce platform was developed by Systemstöd, is based on Orchard CMS and is integrated with Jeeves ERP. Orchard CMS can be described as a rapidly advancing community in which a fast-growing group of users share the code they develop as functions and frameworks.
Orchard is actively supported by Microsoft, which is also the community's largest single contributor. Orchard CMS is free, open-source and based on Microsoft's latest .NET technology. Built with MVC 3, the system is scalable and easy to customize in terms of appearance and new functionality.
Systemstöd has developed several commercial web applications for e-commerce, CRM, time reporting and field service integrated with Jeeves ERP on this platform.
