Porvoon Kirjakeskus

As a provider of logistics services to Finland’s leading book publishers, Porvoon Kirjakeskus needs an ERP system with detailed control down to the letter level. Earlier this year, Bonnier acquired Porvoon Kirjakeskus, which has now switched to Jeeves to improve logistics management and collaborate more efficiently with its customers.

Porvoon Kirjakeskus – a challenge

“Because of the inherent complexity and structures in our business when Porvoon Kirjakeskus’ logistics, order and purchasing processes are integrated with the publishers, we need an ERP system that is easy to integrate, allows further development and can be implemented quickly. The Bonnier publishers also have good experiences with both Jeeves and their partner Systemstöd, which is responsible for implementation,” says Anne Kariniemi, COO of Porvoon Kirjakeskus.

About Porvoon Kirjakeskus

Porvoon Kirjakeskus handles order processing for publishers, as well as warehousing, invoicing, ledger management and book distribution. Its ERP solution provides advanced support for master data management, logistics and orders, and manages shared items and pricing used by Porvoon Kirjakeskus and its customers. This leads to more automated processes, greater cost control, less administration and shorter lead times, strengthening Porvoon Kirjakeskus’ customer offering.

Besides publishers, Porvoon Kirjakeskus’ customers include schools, libraries and book clubs. The company also provides book archiving services for publishers. Porvoon Kirjakeskus has revenue of around €9 million, approximately 100 employees and headquarters in Porvoo, Finland.
