Jeeves ERP at Swedol
Founded in 1963, Swedol is now a market-leading trade retail chain serving professionals and private customers demanding the highest quality. It offers a complete range of tools, electrical products, workwear, vehicle accessories, hydraulics and consumables. Until 1999, customers could only buy by mail order. Today, Swedol sells through mail order, 40 physical stores and e-commerce. In 2011, revenue was 1,284 million and it employed around 380 people. Its headquarters are in Tyresö and warehouse in Örebro, where it built a new logistics center of around 18,000 m² in 2012.

To efficiently manage orders, update inventory and dispatch goods, Swedol integrated its online store with Jeeves ERP and Pacsoft Online, the transport administration system developed by Unifaun for Posten. Systemstöd provides its Jeeves ERP consultancy. Customers order online, and information is automatically sent to Jeeves for processing and inventory updates. Customers also receive real-time order updates. Shipping documents print and EDI is sent automatically to Posten through Unifaun Orderkoppling between Jeeves and Pacsoft Online.
Pacsoft Online is also used in stores when customers order goods for delivery through Posten. The order is entered in Jeeves, inventory is updated, and once goods are packed, shipping documents and labels print and EDI is sent to Posten through Pacsoft Online.
“The order process has become very efficient because the online store and transport administration system are fully integrated with Jeeves. Instead of logging into multiple systems, we handle everything in one. Customers see every order update in real time and can track the entire shipment through a link to Posten’s tracking. We are also very pleased with the Pacsoft Online configuration, as it is easy to set up a new store and quickly start printing and sending shipping labels,” explains Leif Ernström, IT Manager at Swedol AB.
